UFO hunters are doing somersaults after stumbling across what they claim is an alien sitting down on the surface of Mars in a NASA image.
The picture being shared online was taken by the NASA Curiosity rover, and, according to Scott C Waring, of ufosightingsdaily.com, it shows a possible alien living being.
Mr Waring claims to have found several other anomalies in the same image which has been posted online.
He said: “I found some anomalies that are all signs of life on Mars.
“Some houses, some faces, a human like figure sitting down, and decorative foundation corners. All are interesting so I included them below.”
He also claims to have found another monkey-like being, adding: “I found this four-legged alien creature on Mars and it looks like a hairy spider monkey.

“The longer upper arms are holding it up as well as its shorter lower legs. “If you add light to the face, you can easily make out two eyes. As you can see, this animal is watching the Mars rover.”
Mr waring and others are convinced they are finding genuine evidence of life in the pictures.
He added: “We the public no longer need to depend on the US government to drop feed us information about life on Mars and other celestial bodies.
“We are taking the initiative and we have proven on this site that life exists a thousand times over.”

Mr waring compared this shape to a spider monkey from earth.
He also tried to explain why he believes NASA would cover up the fact life exists.
He added: “Somewhere along the line, Americans got lost and began depending on the government for all their important information...but some information is a threat to national security...such as UFO technology and alien intelligence, so they can't announce it.”
But NASA and scientists just say he is getting carried away by the effects of pareidolia.
“This happens when the brain tricks the eyes into seeing familiar objects or shapes such as animals or faces in textures like clouds or rock surfaces.”
