A dad claims that energy drinks led to his son’s death.

Dustin Hood consumed 3¹/₂ 24-ounce cans of Monster Energy drinks within a 24-hour period in 2015, a lawsuit filed by Hood’s dad claims. The teen then played basketball and collapsed on the court. He was rushed to the hospital and died shortly thereafter.

According to TMZ, the lawsuit claims Hood died of cardiac arrythmia triggered by excess caffeine consumption.
