Doing the over/under too? I was thinking that it might be a high scoring game.

The over/under for this game is the highest it's ever been for a Super Bowl

It's the day of reckoning. I hope the Falcons can pull it off, or at the very least, that it's a good close game.

first ever overtime in a super bowl, tied 28-28 at the end of regulation...

it only took 3 quarters, but this one ended up being a game after all

patriots beat the falcons, 34-28, by taking the kickoff of overtime right down the field for a touchdown to end it, keeping matt ryan and falcons offense from seeing the ball in OT

I'm glad I don't live in Atlanta. They'll probably burn the city down.

My instant takeaways immediately after the game last night:

1) The Patriots didn't win, the Falcons lost - what happened to that defense that kept the Patriots in check for 3 quarters?? How do you let them convert not one but TWO 2 point conversions that they have to make? And Atlanta with all those stupid penalties  They were in field goal range in the 4th that would have put the game away and they commit a 10 yard holding penalty and then give up a HUGE sack.

2) The NFL's OT rules still suck even though they tweaked them. The NFL is the only major sport that has now settled their championship where one team never even got to touch the ball in OT. Doesn't happen in any of the other 4 major sports in North America (NBA, MLB, NHL, or MLS). Theoretically it could happen in the NHL since it's sudden death as well, but the series is best of seven, not one game to determine the champion. Plus, the odds of a team winning the faceoff in OT and taking the puck straight down the ice to score without the defense touching the puck is EXTREMELY rare.

3) I don't want to say the fix was in, but the fix was in

Also, no matter what you think of her music, I was thoroughly impressed with Lady Gaga's halftime show. One of the better shows in a long time IMHO, that woman is talented.
