Passing notes is usually frowned upon in class, but one teacher was delighted to find this one.

Twitter user @SMLXist shared the note:

"Do you want to join a club for female empowerment," the note read. "We are the leaders."

The tweet gained a lot of traction, getting over 20,000 retweets and 60,000 likes. The user, called Elly, received some backlash claiming the note was fake:
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr"><a href="https://twitter.com/SMLXist">@SMLXist</a> I just find weird that kids suddenly start speaking about politics and social justice when a kid is supposed to be playing</p>&mdash; Jo (@BretonGooner) <a href="https://twitter.com/BretonGooner/status/838910693516718080">March 7, 2017</a></blockquote><script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Elly, however, asserts that the note is real:
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Believe women. Believe girls. <br>Believe women. Believe girls. <br>Believe women. Believe girls. <br>Believe women. Believe girls.</p>&mdash; Elly (@SMLXist) <a href="https://twitter.com/SMLXist/status/838926414908903424">March 7, 2017</a></blockquote><script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">The fact that so many people refuse to believe that a little girl wants to start a club for female empowerment means we NEED those clubs.</p>&mdash; Elly (@SMLXist) <a href="https://twitter.com/SMLXist/status/838926719973212160">March 7, 2017</a></blockquote>

Change the word "female" to "male" and see what the reaction is :)

Joe Rogan was just talking on his podcast about how soul crushing school is these days (I mean it has been for a while but...). Got to school, be nice or get expelled, come home and do homework until 11. Prepare for life to suck. Prepared to be soft.
