HOLLYWOOD, AL (WAFF) -
A woman from Hollywood, Alabama is accused of sex crimes against the underage father of her unborn child.
Mekenzie Leigh Guffey, 19, faces six charges. These include second-degree rape, possession of child pornography, e\enticing a child for immoral purposes, second-degree sexual abuse, traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act, and dissemination/display of child pornography.
Hollywood police say Guffey's relationship with the 14-year-old victim started in December. Guffey later became pregnant.
Authorities found out about it when Guffey applied for Social Security benefits and disclosed the father of her baby was 14 years old, according to police. That office notified the Department of Human Resources, who notified police.
Police say she would pick up the victim at his home and drive to a remote area near the Bellefonte Nuclear Generating Station to have sex.
Authorities also say they found pornographic images or videos on her electronic devices that she sent the victim over the Internet.
Guffey was arrested on Friday. She has since been released from the Jackson County Jail on a bond just more than $45,000.
