Amy Schumer’s highly anticipated stand-up special for Netflix is getting overwhelmingly negative reviews from users who are tuning in and rating it.

“Amy Schumer: The Leather Special” hit Netflix last week, and as the streaming service’s subscribers are starting to watching it, less-than-stellar reviews have been pouring in.

“I made it 10 minutes into this and shut it off,” one viewer review read. The user gave the special one-star out of five.

Another viewer added, “SO BAD!! I did stay and watch the whole show in hopes that it would get better, and it didn’t.”

Yet another one-star user review added, “It just drags on and on. I’m really disappointed.”

The special has nearly 1,200 user reviews and an overall average rating of 1.5 stars.

The stand-up special hasn’t done much better with TV critics.

The LA Times' reviewer said the special was too over-the-top when it came to the R-rated content Schumer is known for. “’The Leather Special’ not only relies on… explicit themes, but kicks it all up a notch so there’s more of it — with more frequency and extremities. And as it turns out, that’s not a good thing.”

Newsday’s TV critic gave a similar message, rating the special with a C grade, writing it’s “too much” and “too carnal.”

The Detroit News called the special “funny but predictable.”

Schumer’s stand-up special for the streaming service was announced back in January.

At the time a Netflix exec stated, "Totally fearless and always hilarious, Amy Schumer's bold and singular voice in comedy is a brilliant match for Netflix and our global comedy fans.”

Schumer previously released a 2015 stand-up special on HBO.

Funny you should ask that. Just last night I was thinking, "I wonder if there's anything horrible from unfunny cunts on TV? I am really in the mood to not laugh, be annoyed as fuck, and feel that warm sensation of my ears bleeding".

Amy Schumer’s latest Netflix special, The Leather Special, has been slammed with poor reviews calling it “horribly unfunny.” But it also is getting hit with an even more career damaging accusation: joke stealing.

In the video below, two of Schumer’s bits are compared with old jokes told by Dave Attell and Dave Chappelle, and they appear quite similar.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KsAiEnP6naA

In a 2003 set, Attell told the joke, “Do you ever black out while drinking, or as I call it time travel.”

Amy Schumer’s joke was “Has anyone ever blacked and been awake when they come out of it? It’s kind of cool cause you’re like a time traveler, and you’re just like, back in your body.”

Then in 2005, Dave Chappelle made a joke about having sex and his partner telling him “where to come.” Then he pointed to comical locations to shoot the cum, like on the TV and in a fish bowl. Schumer’s bit was very similar except she said, “in this jar.”

In both instances the Schumer variations were objectively less funny.

This isn’t the first time Schumer has been called out for stealing jokes. She has done bits in her stand up that are very similar to Patrice O’Neal, John Mulaney and Marc Maron. Some of the sketches from her sketch show Inside Amy Schumer were also almost direct rip offs to Mad TV sketches and Kathleen Madigan bits. YouTube is riddled with instances of these kind of “similarities.”

While some stand up comedians were run out of town (Carlos Mencia) or publicly shamed (Dane Cook), Schumer has managed to weather the storm of accusations and build a exponentially successful career.

Hmmmm, I wonder why.

Amy Schumer insists people really like her new Netflix special, and claims alt-right Internet trolls are the ones responsible for its bad buzz.

Schumer's "The Leather Special" debuted last week on Netflix, and as the streaming service’s subscribers are starting to watching it, less-than-stellar reviews have been pouring in.

But the stand-up comic said these reviews aren't because her special is sub-par. She says its poor reception is a result of a coordinated online campaign from the alt-right.

"The alt right organized trolls attack everything I do," she said in a lengthy Instagram post. "They organize to get my ratings down."

Schumer also slammed "the 'journalists' who report on trolls activities as if it's news" adding that this is "what the current administration wants."

The 35-year-old said the alt-right organized similar protests against her book, TV show and movies.

"I want to thank them," she said of the trolls. "It reminds me what I'm saying is effective and bring more interest to my work and their obsession with me keeps me going."

Schumer also addressed reports that she stole jokes from other comedians for her new Netflix special.

"Call me a thief and I will continue to rise and fight and lead," she stated. "I know who I am."

Schumer did not address the poor reviews she received from TV critics, including an LA Times' review that said the special was too over-the-top when it came to the R-rated content Schumer is known for.

"'The Leather Special' not only relies on… explicit themes, but kicks it all up a notch so there's more of it — with more frequency and extremities. And as it turns out, that's not a good thing."

Newsday's TV critic gave a similar message, giving the special a C grade, writing that it’s "too much" and "too carnal."

The Detroit News was a bit more charitable, calling the special "funny but predictable."

wait wait wait, am I reading this correctly? According to this cunt-bag, the sociopathic response to the election is not the far left being obsessive about Trump... no no no....it's actually the right being obsessed about the far left.
