An Ohio woman accused of raping and robbing a male taxi driver was arrested while two accomplices remain at large.

Brittany Carter, 23, was charged this month with first-degree rape and aggravated robbery for a Jan. 28 incident in Findlay, Ohio, according to the News-Messenger.

Police said Carter got into a taxi around 4:24 a.m. with two men that was called from a local hotel. In the vehicle, Carter performed a sex act on the 29-year-old driver while another passenger, Corey Jackson, 20, held a knife against his throat.

Carter and the two men allegedly stole $32 from the driver’s pocket and fled.

“We don’t know why she did it,” Findlay Lt. Robert Ring told the News-Messenger. “Maybe it was a distraction because they took money from him.”

The 23-year-old was taken into custody March 10 at Hancock County jail. She is being held on $60,000 bond.

A woman who 'could not stop grinning' after she was charged with raping and robbing a taxi driver has been jailed.

Brittany Carter was said to have performed oral sex act on a cabbie as an accomplice allegedly held a knife to his throat.

Her original criminal record said she “purposefully compelled” the victim to engage in sexual conduct “by force or threat of force.”

“We don’t know why she did it,” Detective Lieutenant Robert Ring said after her arrest.

“Maybe it was a distraction because they took money from him.”

But Carter, 23, grinned for a mugshot after her arrest.

She faced up to 22 years behind bars on the original charges but got four years instead in a plea deal.

Carter admitted an amended charge of gross sexual imposition and robbery.

She and Cory Jackson, 20, were said to have called a cab to pick them up from a hotel at 4.25am.

Carter stole £25 ($32) from the driver during the ride while Jackson allegedly held a knife to his neck.

Carter was said to have then forced herself on him before performing oral sex on him while he was still being threatened with the knife.

She and Jackson reportedly then scarpered on foot in Findlay, Ohio.

Carter has been held in jail since April.

The case against her had been scheduled for trial this week before the plea bargain, prosecutor Phil Riegle told The Courier.

Carter could be called to testify against Jackson, who has pleaded not guilty to aggravated robbery and complicity to rape.

His case is due to start in November.

Hospital worker Carter, who must register as a sex offender for 15 years, will get credit for prison time already served.
