Police on patrol in Bristol this morning thought they had come across a man who needed first aid.
It turns out, they had actually spotted an alligator, out for a stroll in the sun with its owner.
If you're thinking this might be an April Fool's a couple of weeks too late, you're wrong.
This actually happened in Gloucester Road in Filton Wednesday morning and the reptile was on a lead.
PC Mike took to Facebook to talk about the bizarre moment.
He said: "While on patrol in Gloucester Road, we came across what we thought to be a collapsed male.
"When we stopped to offer assistance and first aid, we discovered it was actually a nearby reptile store owner walking his 4ft alligator."
He added that it was 'not the sort of thing you see everyday'.
And according to police, the scaly creature was actually a 'big softie'.
