Is it just me or everyone??

It has happened on several different computers.

Do a search in Google and click a link and it takes you to something related but not the site in the link. Close the tab/page and click again on the same link and then end up at the required site. I am not clicking on the advertising links.

Are Google playing funny buggers again and hijacking searches to advertising sites?

Happens to me too, I thought I had a virus of some sort. I think it stops for a while if I clear out history and temp files? :idk:

:-s

It's never happened to me.

Clear out your cache, temp folder, and cookies and do a thorough virus and adware scan.

Did that the first time it happened, but I can't have the same on machines at work, at home and at camp......

You'd be surprised. Some things are really common... kinda like catching a cold.

This happened to me yesterday with one site, but it has not happened before or after it. I think it might have something to do with Google's effort to weed out warez stuff..since this site I was on, when it happened, could've been a site where movies and tv-shows are posted...
