CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- Things got a little crazy outside a Cape Coral party Saturday night, ending with the arrests of two partygoers.
According to Cape Coral Police, around 10:30 p.m. Saturday, neighbors in the 4300 block of SW 1st Avenue called to report a nude man in the street, destroying mailboxes with a machete and threatening residents.
Officers arrived and took 35-year-old Yudier Duenas-Sosa into custody. That's when the suspect's cousin, 41-year-old Irene Orozco, charged officers in an attempt to keep Sosa fro being arrested.
Police say both were extremely intoxicated and were in the area for a party.
Sosa was medically cleared at Cape ER before being taken to the Lee County Jail on charges of Aggravated Assault and Criminal Mischief.
Orozco was direct booked at the Lee County Jail for Resisting Law Enforcement.
More charges are pending.
