I never watched the Iron Fist series but after watching the first few episodes of the Defenders I can honestly say that I know why people dislike the Iron Fist. Compared to everyone else, either it's the way the character is written or the guy playing the character comes across as a giant douchebag. He's easily the most annoying one out of the entire cast. And that's saying a lot, because I didn't really think much of Jessica Jones either, but she's light years better than him. Daredevil... cool. Luke Cage... cool. Jessica.... meh, ok. Danny Rand/Iron Fist.... giant douche nozzle.

i watched iron fist, it was hard to get through the whole thing. his "power up" ability was sparingly used and made him exhausted for the next few episodes... i have not watched defenders yet, but i really liked the first season of daredevil and luke cage and also thought jessica jones was pretty good with a terrifying bad guy

I enjoyed Daredevil (alone) and liked watching Jessica Jones in those jeans...not much of a fan of her character though.

I don't like ensemble superhero shows. Without watching this, I feel it waters down a great character (and show) like the recent Daredevil.

Yeah, Krysten Ritter's deadpan monotonic line delivery is just killing me. And the dude playing Danny Rand is constantly... so... freaking... intense. He's like a William Shatner Jr, but stuck in one emotion... constantly serious. It's hard to take the guy seriously. Both of them lack emotional range. It's like they're both trying way too hard to be super heroes. Somebody needs to slap the both of them and tell them to lighten up a bit. Either that, or the writers need to learn to Joss Whedon it up a tad.
