A man and woman are accused of making a public spectacle in Kent at the end of last month by having sex in a restaurant parking lot in plain view of a busy intersection.
And that's not the end of the alleged indecency.
Two people called 911 about 11:40 a.m. April 30 to report two people publicly engaged in sex at 501 Central Avenue North at the intersection with East Pioneer Street, according to Kent police reports.
A 37-year-old man had his pants down and genitals exposed, while a largely naked 36-year-old woman performed sexual acts on him, according to the witness reports. They then progressed to other positions, but the witnesses reiterated that the pair were about 10 feet from the sidewalk and in a parking lot for a restaurant as several cars and pedestrians passed. Restaurant patrons could also see the activity through the windows.
Police found the woman with an open beer container aboard a King County Metro bus and detained the man while he walked away from the scene, reports indicate. A witness confirmed the man and woman were the ones he saw having sex, according to court records.
Kent police say the 36-year-old woman has a history of public nuisance crimes, including a 2013 indecent exposure conviction. She is also known to expose herself to the public and to responding police officers.
In this incident, she allegedly exposed herself to a police officer and removed a dandelion from her vagina, reports say. After she was arrested, she reportedly stripped naked in a Kent jail cell.
Police found a substance believed to be PCP in the man's possession. They suspected, based on his grunts and blank stares, that he was under the influence of PCP at the time of his arrest, reports say.
The pair were charged with indecent exposure and the man was additionally charged with a drug crime.
