A HOMELESS man who cradled a dying woman in his arms after the Manchester bomb attack has been reunited with his estranged mum.

Chris Parker, 33, and his pal were begging in the arena foyer when suicide bomber Salman Abedi struck last Monday night.

The story of the pair’s bravery and selflessness captured the nation’s hearts, with fundraising appeals raising tens of thousands to help get them off the streets.

Yesterday it emerged Chris is still living on the streets, despite well-wishers raising more than £50,000 for him.

But the man behind the fundraising page confirmed he had met with Chris about getting the cash to him.

After seeing him on the news, Chris’s mum Jessica, who had not seen him for five years after they lost touch, managed to track him down and the pair were reunited on Friday.

She told the Manchester Evening News she had no idea her son was homeless until she saw him on TV.

Jessica, who now lives in Norfolk with his brother Josh, travelled up to Manchester for a heartwarming reunion with Chris.

She said: "We were having a chat and he got quite emotional.

“I said ‘Do you want me to come up?’ and he said ‘Yes, I do. I need you mum.’”

“I said ‘I wanted to come up and see you and make sure you are all right.’"

She said the pair walked to St Ann's Square, which has been filled with thousands of tributes to the victims, where Chris has been visiting twice a day.

Donations have flooded in to help Chris, with £50,000 raised so far to help him start a new life.

Jessica said: "He’s completely overwhelmed by it all.

“He never envisaged that sort of money, ever.”
