Lying Jemma Beale, 25, made false rape and sex assault claims against 15 different men — and sent an innocent man to jail for seven years, a court was told.

Beale made allegations over three years but they were “grotesque inventions”, jurors heard.

She claimed she was attacked at a pub and outside her home, and gang raped in the street.

Beale said she was raped by nine men and sexually assaulted by six. All but one were strangers.

Beale’s first allegation was against Mahad Cassim, who had given her a lift home after a night out. He was charged with rape and jailed for seven years.

But prosecutor John Price QC said: “That was a wrongful conviction. Mahad Cassim was innocent.

“The person responsible for the grave injustice was the defendant, through her false allegation and perjured evidence. She maintains that falsity still.”

Mr Price said it was “inherently improbable” Beale was attacked so many times and so frequently.

He added: “Each of her reports was entirely false.”

In July 2012 Beale claimed she was sexually assaulted by four men with a piece of barbed wire in an alley.

But jurors were shown CCTV of her walking home alone that night. Her injuries were self-inflicted, the court was told.

In September 2013 Beale reported a sex assault by two men outside her home. Neither was ever identified.

Two months later, she reported a gang rape by eight men.

A woman on trial for making 15 false sex attack allegations in three years has stormed out of court.

Jemma Beale, 25, left the court during cross examination when it was put to her that sex in a garage was consensual.

A man she accused of rape, Mahan Cassim, ended up serving seven years in prison as a result of the allegations.

She told the court that she is lesbian and had never had consensual sex with a man.

She also said that she was groped by stranger, Noam Shazad, in a pub in July 2012 and he took part in a gang rape.

He fled the country when presented with the allegations that had been made against him.

Mr Shazad skipped bail and fled the country after being charged with sexual assault.

Beale then made bogus complaints against six other men in 2013, Southwark Crown Court heard.

She claimed two strangers sexually assaulted her close to her home in Ashford, Middlesex, before she was put through another gang rape attack by four other men two months later.

Two of the men identified by Beale – Luke Williams and Steven McCormack – were arrested and interviewed but never charged with any offence.

The court heard that Beale had spent the evening with Mr Williams and others at a house party, and that she had left willingly with him to go and get alcohol and cigarettes.

She claims he took her to a garage where he arranged for a Mr McCormack and others to attack her, and that he was armed with a machete.

But in the days before the alleged assault, Mr McCormack said Beal had threatened to get him into trouble with the police.

In a garbled message whispered to a friend before she left the party with Williams, she allegedly said: ‘He’s good with his hands. He just tried to rape me upstairs but I’d rather it happened to me than to you.’

She also said: ‘It’s okay, I can knock him out and I have that emergency thing [a 999 app] on my phone.’

Prosecutor John Price QC told Beale: ‘You were already planning out what you were about to do – accuse him of attacking you.’

‘It was the opportunity to do what you had been threatening to do which was to get Steven McCormack in trouble with the police. Luke Williams was an unlucky stooge.’

Mr Price continued: ‘You sent a message to a friend saying “he’s got a weapon” referring to the machete. You must have believed that he still had it with him.

‘He never asked you to turn your phone off.’

Beale replied: ‘No, but he kept asking me what I was doing on it.’

‘So he knew you had it but he didn’t try and take it off you?’ said the prosecutor.

Beale replied:’He wouldn’t have tried to take it off me while I was alone with him.’

‘What? While he was taking you to a garage to attack you and to arrange for others to attack you?’ said Mr Price.

‘Why didn’t you use the emergency 999 app if he had threatened you with a knife – someone you thought was going to harm you?’

‘You knew you were in no danger from Luke Williams. You took him to a garage and had sex with him. Exactly as you had done with Mr Cassim.’

Beale stormed out of court when Mr Price put his last point, forcing the judge to rise for 15 minutes while she calmed down.

The prosecution say that Beale had consensual sex with Williams on the night of the alleged attack, but say that no-one else was there.

Beale made her first rape complaint on the morning of 26 November 2010, when she told police she had been attacked by Mr Cassim the previous night.

She said she had been out with a friend when she accepted a lift home from Mr Cassim, who then raped her.

Mr Cassim was convicted on a retrial at Isleworth Crown Court in January 2012.

She then claimed she was groped inside the Windsor Castle pub in Hounslow in July 2012, then attacked in an alleyway close to the car-park of a nearby medical centre.

The man said to have grabbed her crotch in the pub, was later identified as Noam Shazad by police and arrested on 17 August 2012, the court heard.

Injuries allegedly sustained during the gang rape were ‘self-inflicted’, jurors were told.

She reported another serious sexual assault on 2 September 2013 by two men, neither of whom were ever identified.

She then reported a gang rape by four men at knife point in Felktham, west London on 17 November 2013 – Luke Williams and Steven McCormack were the only two attackers she named.

She is also charged with perjury relating claims she had never had sexual intercourse with a man before Mr Cassim raped her, when she had in fact had regular sex with her boyfriend as a young teenager.

Beale, from Bedfont, Middlesex, denies four counts of perjury and four counts of perverting the course of justice.

The trial continues.

A British woman who repeatedly claimed of being sexually assaulted and raped by 15 different men – leading one to be wrongly imprisoned – is now facing jail time of her own after she was convicted Thursday of lying about her claims.

"Jemma Beale was a determined liar who repeatedly went to great lengths to fabricate evidence in an attempt to see innocent men convicted, including telling deliberate lies under oath,” London Crown Prosecution Service Lawyer Samuel Mainsaid. Beale was convicted of perjury and perverting the course of justice.

From 2010 to 2013, Beale claimed that she was sexually assaulted by six men and raped by nine -- all of them strangers – in four different encounters, prosecutors said.

But it was later discovered that the 25-year-old had a steady boyfriend with whom she had a sexual relationship, Main said.

"False allegations of sexual assault and rape are rare but, when made, they are serious as they undermine the credibility of genuine victims and the efforts of the CPS and police to see perpetrators brought to justice,” Main added.

In one case, a man was imprisoned over the allegations and in another, the alleged attacker fled the country.

Beale’s stories fell apart after medical records, testimonies from witnesses and CCTV footage showed she was lying.

In one false claim from 2012, Beale said she was attacked by four men in an alley with a piece of barb wire. But jurors were shown footage of her walking home alone and were told by prosecutors that the injuries were self-inflicted.

“After Beale made another allegation in November 2013, the police reviewed all of her previous claims, and discovered a clear and sustained pattern of willful falsification,” Main said in a statement.

Beale is expected to be sentenced on August 24.

I'll reserve judgement until we see what she gets at sentencing. Something tells me, especially with this being the UK, that she gets an extremely lenient sentence.

Agreed. I am only shocked when they actually get time. But in this case, someone went to prison.

A woman dubbed a "serial liar" will serve 10 years in jail after making a series of rape claims that turned out to be false.

Jemma Beale, 25, of London, was sentenced Thursday to four counts of perjury and four counts of perverting the course of justice, according to The Guardian.

From 2010 to 2012, Beale accused nine men of rape and six men of sexual assault in four different incidents.

One of Beale's false claims led to a man being jailed for seven years, according to the BBC.

During her trial, a prosecutor revealed that Beale's false allegations led police to spend 6,400 hours investigating. Her claims also cost the British government more than $459,000 between investigations and trials.

When sentencing her, the judge called Beale "a very, very convincing liar" who enjoys "being seen as a victim."

The judge also said Beale's false rape claims "bring a real risk that a woman who has been raped or sexually assaulted may not complain to the police for fear of not being believed."
