A Brooklyn man beat his toddler daughter on Father’s Day so badly that prosecutors said the little girl is not expected to survive.
Shaquan Taylor, 19, fractured the skull of 16-month-old Nylah Lewis as he viciously attacked her during a visit to his Coney Island home Sunday, officials said.
The child’s mother found the tot lying on the floor after she came to the residence because Taylor called her and said the child was crying, police sources said.
As the mom tried to dial 911, Taylor started beating her, according to cops.
He then fled, before being captured by police a short time later.
The little girl was taken to a Brooklyn hospital, where she was listed in critical condition.
“The child is not expected to live past the next 24 hours,” prosecutors said at Taylor’s arraignment in Brooklyn Criminal Court Monday night.
Taylor, who told cops the child fell, was charged with assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
Doctors, however, said the injuries, which include brain damage, “could not have been caused from falling.”
The dad was ordered held in lieu of $500,000 bail.
