Is it too late now to say sorry?

Justin Bieber is calling it quits on the rest of his Purpose World Tour, but has failed to provide a reason for the sudden cancellation.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, Justin Bieber will cancel the remainder of the Purpose World Tour concerts,” his tour rep said in a statement on Monday. “Justin loves his fans and hates to disappoint them. He thanks his fans for the incredible experience of the Purpose World Tour over last 18 months.”

The cryptic and carefully worded statement continued, “He is grateful and honored to have shared that experience with his cast and crew for over 150 successful shows across 6 continents during this run. However, after careful consideration he has decided he will not be performing any further dates.”

Tickets are being refunded at the point of purchase.

Bieber, 23, had been slated to perform in Arlington, Texas, this weekend. He also had planned stadium dates in Colorado and New Jersey, plus international stops in countries including Japan and the Philippines, left on the tour.

The cancellation comes days after China announced that the singer — who in the past has been arrested, accused of abandoning his pet monkey in Germany and photographed leaving a brothel in Brazil — was banned from performing in China because of his “bad behavior.”

Justin Bieber pulled the plug on his Purpose tour because he "rededicated his life to Christ" ... sources connected to Hillsong Church tell TMZ.

Bieber's decision seemed to come out of the blue, but our sources say it was squarely based on what Bieber believes is religious enlightenment. Bieber said he canceled due to exhaustion, but that's simply not true. Plus, his remaining touring schedule was not taxing travel-wise.

We're also told Bieber's crew is "incredibly pissed off at him" because it has impacted their financial well-being without any warning.

Bieber has been virtually joined at the hip with Hillsong pastor Carl Lentz over the last few months, but we're told Lentz did not advocate for cancelling the tour.
