A bride has been arrested after she allegedly pulled a gun out from beneath her wedding dress and fired it at her groom just hours after they tied the knot.
Kate Elizabeth Prichard, 25, was mid-argument with her new husband James Jarid Burton, 30, outside the Clarion Inn motel in Murfreesboro, Tennessee when she allegedly pulled the trigger.
Prichard, who was still in her wedding dress when she was arrested, is accused of pulling out the 9mm handgun, pointing it at her husband's head and firing it.
Police said the gun was not loaded at the time, but Prichard allegedly loaded the gun later and fired it into the air, causing people nearby to flee.
The couple were both uncooperative with officers when they were called to the motel and denied that anything was amiss, according to police.
Witnesses disputed the couple's version of events and claimed they had been drinking and arguing outside the motel.

Prichard allegedly tried to hide the gun in the bathroom of their motel room before police arrived.
'Responding officers let the husband know the honeymoon was over and his new wife was going to jail,' Murfreesboro police sergeant Kyle Evans told News Channel 5.
She was charged with aggravated domestic assault and was booked into Rutherford County before being released on a $15,000 bond.
Prichard boasted on Facebook last month of her new tattoo dedicated to Burton, declaring that she was 'Property of J-Rod - her soon-to-be husband's nickname, The Smoking Gun reports.
