What is Canada day for?

Canada Day, formerly Dominion Day, is the national day of Canada, a federal statutory holiday celebrating the anniversary of the July 1, 1867, enactment of the British North America Act (today called the Constitution Act, 1867), which united three British colonies into a single country, called Canada, within the British Empire. Originally called Dominion Day, the name was changed in 1982, the year that Canada gained full independence from the United Kingdom. Canada Day observances take place throughout Canada as well as internationally.

Well ok + 1 for recognizing the day, but -5 for attempted mellow harshing

You can continue to make it up to me over the course of the day :)

Yes Wills and Kate are here in Canader, they'll be parade marshals in our annual Stampede Parade and we'll be 'white hatting' them in a couple of weeks

Why haven't we taken Canada yet? Seems to me to be fairly easy. We could import their women and ship off those Jersey Shore douche bags and people that hyphenate their last names.

Well, I'm about 50 minutes late, but Happy Canada Day.

Theoretically, one could hop a ferry over to Mt. Washington and snowboard, then come back and sunbathe in 70 degree weather here (I'm fahrenheitin' for all the non Canucks).

Went to Red Robin for dinner to celebrate my daughter's good report card.

Prince Charles first...then when he steps down, Wills gets his kick at it...
