Firefighters were called after a woman ended up stuck upside down hanging out a window after she got wedged while trying to retrieve a poo.

Emergency services were forced to destroy the window of her date Liam Smith’s student house in the process, but the poo was rescued.

Liam, who studying postgraduate sociology at Bristol University, told the story on a crowd funding page to raise money for a new window: “I recently took a girl I met on tinder to Nandos.

“We had a lovely evening, and enjoyed each other’s company very much.

“After our meal, we repaired back to my house for a bottle of wine and a scientology documentary.

“About an hour in to Louis Theroux and chill, my date got up to use the toilet. She returned with a panicked look in her eye, and told me she had something to tell me.

“’I went for a poo in your toilet’, she told me ‘and it would not flush. I don't know why I did this, but I panicked’, she continued ‘I reached into the toilet bowl, wrapped it in tissue paper, and threw it out of the window’.

“I was understandably concerned, and told her we would go outside, bag up the offending poo in the garden, bin it, and pretend the whole sorry affair had never happened.

“Unfortunately, owing to a design quirk of my house, the toilet window does not in fact open to the garden, but instead into a narrow gap of about a foot and a half, separated from the outside world by another (non-opening) double glazed window. It was into this twilight zone that my date had thrown her poo.

“As can be seen in the picture, the inside window opens at the top, into the gap that is separated from the garden by a non-opening double-glazed window pane. Seeing only one solution, I messaged our house group-chat, and went upstairs to find a hammer and chisel to smash open the window.

“My date had other ideas.

“Being an amateur gymnast, she was convinced that she could reach into the window and pull the poo out, using the tried and tested "inside out blag as glove" technique. Unfortunately she couldn't reach. She climbed further in and had the same problem. Eventually I agreed to give her a boost up and into the window.

“She climbed in head first after her own turd, reached deeper into the window, bagged it up, and passed it out, over the top and back into the toilet from whence it came. She called out to me to help her climb out from the window, I grabbed her waist and I pulled. But she was stuck. Stuck fast. Try as we might, we could not remove her from the window. She was stuck fast, upside down in the gap.

“Unfortunately for my date, at this stage I could see only one way out of our predicament. She had been upside down in the window for around 15 minutes at this point, and I was starting to grow concerned for her health. I called the fire brigade.

“Bristol's finest were on scene sirens blaring in a matter of minutes. Once they had composed themselves after surveying the scene in front of them, they set to work removing my date from the window using all of their special firemen hammers and tools. It took them about 15 minutes.

“Unfortunately, although they rescued my date unharmed from what must have been a rather unpleasant confined space to find yourself in, in the process they had to completely destroy the window with their special fire tools.

“I'm not complaining, they did what they had to do. Problem is, I've been quoted north of £300 to replace the window. As a postgraduate student, that is a significant chunk of my monthly budget (in fact, that is my monthly budget).”

Liam has turned to the internet for help to raise £300 to repair his broken window.

He said: “If the window is not replaced my landlord may well kill me, so you would be literally helping to save a life.

“If by some miracle I manage to raise more money through this page than the cost of the window, any remainder will be split 50/50 between two charities:

“First, toilet twinning, a charity building and maintaining flushing toilets in the developing world. 60% of people worldwide don't have access to a flushing toilet.

A TINDER dater who got trapped in a window while “fetching a poo” has broken her silence to reveal the hilarious ordeal has left her “cringing”.

Liam Smyth went viral after telling how the girl ended up trapped upside down in a window when she panicked after apparently being unable to flush the faeces down the toilet, reports The Sun.

The 24-year-old claimed she had tried to chuck the poo out of the window but it got stuck in a “twilight zone” between an internal and external layer of glass.

And now his date appears to have spoken out in a Reddit post where she admits it was the “worst Tinder date ever”.

The 24-year-old, who has adopted the nickname “Shirehampton s**t-slinger” revealed she “was literally on my knees cringing and apologising” to Smyth after the incident.

Replying to comments online, she wrote: “I am indeed the shamed Shirehampton s**t-slinger.

“It’s not something I’m proud of, but people are laughing, and if I’m making people happy then I’m not going to complain.

“It was a panic response and within seconds I knew I’d made a terrible mistake.

“I would have left, but I just couldn’t do that to him.

“I make bad choices sometimes (!) but I like to think I’m not a bad person, and to me that would have been bad [to leave].”

The Tinder date told amused Reddit users she encouraged Smyth to take the photos and had no idea the story would spread online so quickly.

Trying to explain why she decided to confess to the poo rather than leave, she explained: “I feel like if I had and he’d found me out after though I’d probably be in a worse position now.

“I swear I was literally on my knees cringing and apologising.

“[Liam] he was so good about it though, just laughed with me rather than at me.

“It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to say.

“It was a moment of panic, and I read about a woman on Twitter who wrapped the poo and put it in her bag — I didn’t have a bag, and I don’t know why the window seemed the next best thing. I have many regrets.

“I figured a s**t in the garden, while weird, would not definitely be me.

“We live in an area with a lot of junkies etc, so prolly [sic] could have got away with it ... maybe ... it genuinely wasn’t that big, his toilet was just dodgy.”

Despite the apparent clanger, Smyth yesterday revealed the pair actually had a second date to “discuss” the GoFundMe page set up to raise money to repair the window destroyed in the rescue.

The fundraising page has now smashed its original target of $350 — with almost $4000 raised since it was posted yesterday.

“It’s a funny story, it was my own fault, we might as well get a laugh out of it,” she added.

“We’ve met once more but I don’t know what’ll happen now. Neither of us thought it would get so big.

“It has been weird. My university class is all talking about it, not knowing it’s me.

“I was trying to be classy by not leaving s**t in his toilet. It was just a terrible error of judgment.”

Avon Fire and Rescue confirmed they were called to the address at around 10.40pm on August 7th and rescued the woman — but did not confirm what exactly had led her to become stuck in the precarious position.

Writing on the GoFundMe page, Smyth said the couple had been watching a Louis Theroux documentary when their night took an interesting turn.

He said: “She returned with a panicked look in her eye, and told me she had something to tell me.

“‘I went for a poo in your toilet’, she told me ‘and it would not flush. I don’t know why I did this, but I panicked’, she continued. ‘I reached into the toilet bowl, wrapped it in tissue paper, and threw it out of the window.’”

Liam said any excess funds raised by the appeal will be donated to clean water charity Toilet Twinning and The Fire Fighter’s Charity.
