The high school math teacher who kicked students out of class for wearing “Make America Great Again” shirts has reportedly been “fired.”
The teacher at River Ridge High School in Cherokee County, Georgia, identified as Lyn Orletsky, was caught on video telling the students that wearing the MAGA gear was no different than wearing a “swastika.”
“Just like you cannot wear a swastika to school, you cannot wear Make America Great Again like that," she said.

Turning Point News claims to have obtained a letter confirming Orletsky’s termination. More from the report:
“The purpose of this correspondence is to provide you with an update on your child’s math class,” the letter signed by school principal Darrell Herring reads. “Ms. Orletsky no longer is your child’s math teacher, effective immediately.”
The letter also informs that the school is searching for an “experienced educator to teach these classes for the rest of the school year.”
Reportedly, according to the letter, Herring informed teachers and faculty at River Ridge High School of “all federal and state laws restricting political activity among teachers” at public, taxpayer funded schools.
“We are committed to providing your child with the best education possible to prepare them for future success,” Herring concludes.
While school officials wouldn't comment on personnel issues, a spokeswoman for the Cherokee County School District confirmed to Turning Point News that the “letter was approved by the Superintendent of Schools and sent by the Principal to the parents of all students in classes taught by the teacher named in it.”
However, it should be noted that the letter does not explicitly say the teacher was “fired,” just that she wouldn't be teaching the math class. Attempts made by Independent Journal Review to contact the school district during non-business hours were unsuccessful.
