President Donald Trump on Friday welcomed 11-year-old Frank to the White House after he wrote to the president offering to cut the White House lawn.

Frank even offered to cut the lawn for free, even though he usually charges $8. The president happily accepted the little boy’s offer.

The photos of Trump interacting with Frank while he mowed the White House lawn Friday quickly went viral, and it’s easy to see why. The photos not only humanize the commander in chief, but they also capture the boy’s inspiring entrepreneurial spirit.

Here's what Frank's letter to the president said:

It would be my honor to mow the White House lawn some weekend for you. Even though I’m only ten, I would like to show the nation what young people like me are ready for. I admire your business background and have started my business. I have been mowing my neighbors’ lawns for some time. Please see the attached flier. Here’s a list of what I have and you are free to pick whatever you want: power mower, push mower, and weed whacker. I can bring extra fuel for the power mower and charged batteries for the weed whacker. I will do this at no charge.

But as we’ve learned, ever since the 2016 presidential election, nothing can be nonpolitical when it comes to Trump.

Critics, including Gary Legum of IJR's liberal vertical The Response, actually attacked President Trump for supposedly violating “child labor laws” by granting the boy’s wish and letting him mow the lawn.

No, seriously.

That's how much the press and the liberals hate him, he can't do ANYTHING without them trying to turn it into something ridiculous.

I loathe the media.

I don't know if this one was media... more the crazed #theresistance people who are just off the deep end. I love to point at resistance bumper stickers in traffic, and in the drivers view pretend to laugh really loudly.

A former New York Times labor reporter has been slammed on social media for a snarky tweet hitting the White House for letting an 11-year-old boy mow the Rose Garden lawn last week.

Steven Greenhouse, who worked for the Times for 31 years and still writes for the paper on occasion, took issue with the feel-good story of the boy, Frank Giaccio, of Falls Church, Va., who showed up at the White House Friday to cut the grass at the invitation of President Trump.

“Not sending a great signal on child labor, minimum wage & occupational safety >> Trump White House lets a 10-year-old volunteer mow its lawn,” Greenhouse, who covered unions for much of his time at the newspaper, tweeted.

The Daily Wire website slammed Greenhouse’s tweet as the “dumbest” ever posted on Twitter.

Others were just as critical.

“The sanctimonious and humorless finger-wagging of nanny state progressivism in one tweet,” conservative commentator and journalist Bill Kristol tweeted.

Trump accepted the Virginia boy’s offer after he wrote to the president saying it would be his “honor to mow the White House lawn.” Frank, who was 10 when he wrote the letter but has since turned 11, also enclosed a menu of his landscaping services, including weed-whacking.

Trump spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said at the White House press briefing Friday that it was an “honor” to host Frank.

“The president has always loved go-getters like Frank,” she said.

After his initial tweet, Greenhouse engaged in a spirited back and forth with other Twitter users who disagreed with his view and let him have it. He tweeted later, “What this kid wants to do is noble, but sorry, I'm mindful of problems--I've written lots about child labor & kids being hurt by machinery.”

Isn't the White House lawn a few acres?

Kid probably thought he would be getting 100 dollars and you know The Donald only gave him a signed 8 x 10 glossy

You're not reading it in context properly [-(

He's qualifying his last statement only. "I can bring extra fuel for the power mower and charged batteries for the weed whacker. I will do this at no charge."

So he'll ensure he has extra gas and will be charging his batteries, two things he should be doing regardless.

Donald is still ripping the kid off. And judging by the job the kid is doing, there's a good reason not to pay
