After the 2016 presidential election, many voters felt their voices weren't heard and were despondent over President Donald Trump's victory.

For some, time has done little to heal that wound and with the one-year anniversary of the election coming up, it makes sense that it should be commemorated in the loudest way possible — a scream fest.

That's right, the Facebook event, Scream helplessly at the sky on the anniversary of the election, invites people to “come express your anger at the current state of democracy, and scream helplessly at the sky!”

While the event is located in Boston, Facebook users from across the country posted that they'll be screaming in spirit and one user suggested satellite events be created. It was even labeled the “wokest event of the year,” by one of the event's members.

“Who wouldn't feel helpless every day?” event organizer Johanna Schulman told Newsweek. “Coming together reminds us that we are not alone, that we are part of an enormous community of activists who are motivated and angry, whose actions can make a difference.”

She added that the Trump administration has “attacked everything about what it means to be American.”

Sure, it may seem off beat, but Boston is no stranger to coming together to express their political displeasure. Ever heard of the Boston Tea Party?
