Is there an SUV that doesn't make you feel like a soccer mom?

So my wife and I are shopping for a new car for her... she inherited her Dad's Hyundai after he passed. It's fine, does it's job but we both just hate the look of it :lol: Showing up at hockey games in that thing is just not cool.

We like the trunk space and convenience of an SUV especially for sports/skiing and winter driving, but want something that doesn't feel like a Mom car... We don't want a truck, our underground parking spot isn't that big, and every truck these days seems huge since they stopped making Rangers/Mazda B-Series, plus they were never great for icy roads.

We looked at the Tiguan but it's still a bit too round and mom-ish for our taste I think (although we haven't test-driven one yet)... what do you guys like?

Honestly, I wouldn't know, because I've never driven an SUV nor have I ever felt like a soccer mom, but I'm gonna hedge and say no.

I know you said you don't want a truck, but the Nissan Frontier (what I have) is a smaller pick-up like the Ranger used to be. The Tacoma isn't huge either.

As far as SUV's that don't look like soccer mom cars, have you looed at the Nissan Xterra (only available used now, I believe they stopped making them in 2015) or the Pathfinder? Or the Toyota 4runner?

I love the 4Runner and Frontier... I'm going to see if we can test drive them. Bit bigger than what we were hoping for but honestly everything smaller doesn't seem our style.

Of course what the wife really wants is a Range Rover :lol: But those are just upper class soccer moms vans and probably cost a fortune to maintain
