They rebooted Venom. This is a whole new origin story. Topher Grace has nothing to do with this movie. As far as I know, no one from the Sam Raimi Spider-man films will be in any of the MCU films. Tom Hardy's playing Eddie Brock, the character Topher Grace played in Raimi's Spider-man 3. I'm not sure Spider-man will even be in this film, although it has been stated that it's in the same universe that Tom Holland's Spider-man exists in (the newest Peter Parker, the one in Civil War, Homecoming and Avengers: Infinity War). They're approaching Venom as an anti-hero rather than just a hardcore villain.

Tom Hardy's been good in everything I've seen him in. He's like the new Christopher Walken. I'm totally going to see this.

I have heard good things from my friends. I'll watch it when its streaming.

The Room is pretty amazing, my wife continues to quote that movie on a regular basis :lol:
