A 20-year-old man has become the 31st person to be stabbed and killed in London this year.
The unnamed victim was attacked after he left a bar and died in Ellerton Road, Wandsworth in the early hours of this morning.
It is the latest in a string of fatal stabbings in the capital and comes just days after two men were knifed to death within 12 hours of each other.
The victim had left the bar in Garratt Lane just after 1am and was found less than 10 minutes later at the junction with Burntwood Lane with a knife wound.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, Metropolitan Police said.

Detective Chief Inspector Mark Cranwell said: ‘Sadly, another family has been left devastated with the tragic death of a young man from an act of violence.
‘We are appealing to anyone who was in the area to come forward.
‘Did you see any vehicles or people acting suspiciously in this area at around 1.10am?
‘Any information you hold, no matter how small, could prove vital to our investigation.’
A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is being held in custody at a west London police station.
