A HUGE hole discovered on the surface of Mars proves extraterrestrial beings inhabit the Red Planet, according to wild claims online.
In a video posted by Mike Chen, the conspiracist detailed what space agency NASA may have recently uncovered.
He explains that after viewing footage from the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) on the planet’s South Pole, he spotted something bizarre.
Mike says: “This enormous crater is the first of its kind to show up over the last 11 years.
“The height resolution camera allows researchers to capture detailed images of objects approximately 3ft to a metre plus in dimension from 200-400 kilometres (124-249 miles).
“This proves the hole discovered is by no means a small one – with estimates being up to thousands of feet.
“Researchers believe it resulted from a massive collapse or a humongous hit.”
Mike posted the video on April 6 on his YouTube channel and it has since received a mass of attention – amounting to more than 130,000 hits.
And at the end of the clip, he asked viewers what they thought it could be and left them quick to speculate.
One comment read: “Maybe they use the whole to hide a super colony for humans to live on Mars."
Another added: “It’s from aliens underneath the surface who are hiding underground.”
And a third stated: “Probably created from an alien war.”
The MRO began its orbit of Mars in August 2005 and has helped researchers understand the planet better in the hope that we can one day visit.
