OSCODA, Mich. — A man and his daughter believe they saw a Bigfoot-like creature in Iosco County.
The man, whose name was not released by the BFRO, said they were walking to a detached garage near their home at 2:30 a.m. when they spotted the unidentified animal in October 2017.
“We both seen a human-like, white furry figure approximately 100 feet from where we were,” the man said. “It moved very quickly and in a half moon circle and crouched down near a tree. We walked toward the figure and I noticed it was still near the tree, bent over slightly almost like it was trying not to be noticed.”

The eyewitness adds that there was a full moon that night and that they were able to see well.
“We also noticed that there were no animal sounds,” he said about the time of the sighting.
The animal was described as a 9-feet-tall biped with white fur and “very broad shoulders”. It was also reportedly “very muscular” and its arms went all the way down to its knees.
The report did not include a photograph or sketch.
Two years ago, a family in Livonia, Michigan, claimed to have come across a “huge” ape-like creature in Wayne County.
In 1981, a Michigan girl told The Detroit News that she had come so close to a Bigfoot that she was able to touch its fur with her hands.
Designated the official home of Paul Bunyan, Oscoda has a population of 1,000 and sits on the northern side of the Au Sable River.
