A woman orchestrated the murder of her lover and then posted a Snapchat video of him dying in a pool of his own blood, a court heard.

Fatima Khan, 20, is accused of hatching a plan with 19-year-old Raza Khan to kill Khalid Safi, 18, in north London, on December 1, 2016.

Raza Khan, who was vying for her affections, allegedly stabbed the asylum seeker in the chest several times in North Acton, while Fatima was recording the fight.

She posted it on Snapchat with the caption: ‘This is what happens when you f*** with me’, the Old Bailey heard.

The clip and CCTV images of the alleged fight were shown to jurors at the trial in central London.

Prosecutor Kate Bex QC said the two men fought after Raza Khan had spotted Mr Safi out with Fatima Khan at a Costa Coffee near to her work at Vigilant Security.

She said Raza Khan went up to them holding a large knife.

‘Raza Khan spoke briefly to either the defendant or Khalid Safi and then turned to face him at which point the prosecution suggest the knife would have been in plain view,’ Ms Bex said.

‘Mr Safi produced a screwdriver and they began to fight. The fight lasted 15 seconds at most and it is caught on CCTV.

‘Mr Safi died at the scene having received a number of wounds to his chest, one penetrating his heart.’

Tensions between Fatima Khan and Mr Safi had boiled over after she became upset when he bought her a watch and gave it to her at home despite her parents not knowing about the relationship, the jury was told.

The defendant, who told police she was addicted to Snapchat, had been in daily contact with Raza Khan via the video app, jurors heard.

Ms Bex added: ‘She told Raza Khan where to find Khalid Safi and she ensured Mr Safi was still there by the time Mr Khan travelled to the scene.’

Raza Khan left the scene after suffering injuries and his current whereabouts remain unknown, the court heard.

Fatima Khan, from Ilford, north London, had been seeing the victim on and off for the past two years and the two men had allegedly been involved in a previous fight.

She denies murder and conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm.

The trial continues.
