EWING >> A township teacher charged with child endangerment allegedly kissed a 17-year-old student inside her classroom and sent nude photos and text messages asking him to have sex, according to documents obtained by The Trentonian.

Cops initially said in a Facebook post over the weekend that teacher Chelsea Hahn sent “inappropriate photos and messages” to a student on social media.

The summons complaint contained more details about what led to the three child endangerment charges against Hahn, 25, of the 500 block of Maple Avenue in Ewing, who has been suspended and banned from campus by school officials while the charges hang over her head.

The sexual conduct “impaired or debauched the morals” of the student, cops said in the complaint, outlining Hahn used her phone to text sexually explicit messages to the student. It’s unclear if the student was one of her own.

The school told authorities about the allegations Friday, a prosecutor’s office spokeswoman said. Detective David Morris investigated and signed off on the charges the next day.

Hahn is expected to make her first court appearance July 3, the records show.

Because she was arrested and released on the summons, prosecutors will not detain her while the matter winds through court.

Hahn has been a long-term substitute teacher at Ewing since April 2017, according to her social media profiles. She identified herself as being an alumna from The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) with a bachelor’s degree in secondary education and English and a master’s in English.

Her LinkedIn page listed her as a substitute teacher at West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District and Robbinsville High School from August 2016 to March 2017. Hahn also indicated she was a student teacher at Robbinsville High School, Community Middle School in West Windsor and Hopewell Valley Regional High School.

On Twitter, she said she was an adjunct professor at TCNJ.

“It just seems more official now. Guys ... I’m a professor,” she posted to Twitter in August 2017, accompanied by a picture of a room key to Bliss Annex at TCNJ.

Ewing Public Schools officials said Saturday Hahn was suspended “pending further action and is no longer allowed on Board of Education property.”

Superintendent Michael Nitti and Ewing High Principal Edward Chmiel said in a joint statement they were “disappointed to inform you that a Ewing High School teacher was arrested and charged with criminal offenses by the Ewing Township Police Department and Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office for endangering the welfare of a student. We have the highest expectations for professional behavior on the part of our staff and the well-being of our students is our foremost concern. Consequently, we were deeply saddened by this development. Please know that we handled this matter professionally and cooperated fully with relevant law enforcement officials as soon as we became aware of this situation.”

The Ewing school board appointed Hahn as a certified high school sub teacher in April 2017 at a daily rate of $222.50 before promoting her to certified high school replacement English teacher in September at $44,500 a year, public records show. She got a pay bump to $48,400 for obtaining a master’s degree and was reappointed for the 2018-19 school year to teach English through June 30, 2019, making $48,850 a year, according to school board documents.
