FULSHEAR, Texas (WFLA) - Shocking video from a Texas police officer's dashcam shows an intoxicated woman passed out in a roadway.
An officer with the Fulshear Police Department had his dashcam recording when he drove up to the woman last weekend.
In the video, a car driving in front of the police cruiser is seen swerving to avoid running over the woman in the road.
The officer then stops his car and runs over to the woman, who then starts moving. After the officer helps her to her feet, she is seen stumbling and almost falling over.
Investigators believe the woman ran off the road and got her car stuck in a ditch about 200 yards from where she decided to lay down.
The woman was arrested for public intoxication and taken to jail.
On its Facebook page, Fulshear police said, "this unfortunate mistake could have ended tragically and the ride could have been to the morgue."
