The suspect responsible for killing five and injuring several others in a Annapolis, Maryland newsroom has been identified as Jarrod Warren Ramos.

Ramos, the shooter, is allegedly responsible for entering the Capital-Gazette newsroom with a shotgun, shooting through a glass door at the newspaper’s headquarters and opening fire on employees. Five were confirmed killed and several more were wounded in the shooting.

Not only was Ramos armed with what police have been calling a “long gun,” he also reportedly had fake grenades, smoke bombs and flash bang devices in his backpack, which were found on him after he was arrested, CBS News reported.

Ramos reportedly had filed a defamation claim in 2012 against the paper, but the case was dismissed, according to PIX 11.

“This person was prepared today to come in, this person was prepared to shoot people. His intent was to cause harm,” Anne Arundel County Acting Police Chief William Krampf said.

Although not confirmed, a Twitter page with Ramos’ name had several tweets targeting the newspaper and it’s employees, calling the paper his “sworn blood enemies” in one tweet.

Personal vendetta with the paper. Tragic and ugly, but no other motivations.

But that didn't stop the anti-gun crusaders and the people with TDS early on. There were a bunch of people blaming Trump for this claiming (before the facts came out) that it was all his fault because he was the one that was 'demonizing' the media and that's why this guy went and killed journalists.

I can guarantee this will fade from the news very quickly because it's not the correct narrative for the anti-gun/TDS lobby now that the facts are out. Although he appears white, he has a hispanic last name, so we don't want that in the news. Plus the weapon of choice was a shotgun and not a 'military style assault weapon'.
