A SICKO who had sex with a horse claimed it gave its consent by WINKING at him.
Daniel Raymond Webb-Jackson, 31, was jailed for ten months and fined £395 after he was caught when the trainer installed CCTV cameras in his stables.
Webb-Jackson from New Southe Wales, Australia, pleaded not guilty and tried to justify his perverted act to the court by claiming that the filly had smelt his crotch and winked at him, news.com.au reported.
The trainer and his staff had just installed CCTV cameras in the stables as a security measure due to suspicions over disturbances the previous month.
After the stable owners suspected a break-in during the evening in question, the police discovered Webb-Jackson hiding in the stable and he was arrested following a brief brawl.
The trainer for the horse, who had been preparing it to race, said the animal was no longer the same after the traumatising experience in January.
He explained: “She is only a little two-year-old. The filly went from being quiet to just being highly strung, she changed in 24 hours.
“You don’t want to see this sort of thing happening, it’s really sick stuff.”
Magistrate Karen Stafford stated that Webb-Jackson carried out two sexual acts on the horse, both of which amounted to an act of cruelty.
Webb-Jackson’s sentence held a non-parole period of four months. With time already served he can appeal for release as early as next week.
