This Morning viewers were this morning a little perplexed over a debate about the gender of gingerbread biscuits.
It comes after some felt the label of gingerbread man was too narrow, with Pret expanding their range of biscuits to include a female-gendered biscuit, Annie, alongside their male-gendered offering Godfrey.
As hosts Gok Wan and Rylan Clark-Neal explained, Pret have started a debate as they labelled them gingerbread people, with Annie the biscuit wearing a skirt.
While some viewers felt no need for such a conversation, transgender woman Chloe O’Herlihy said: ‘It’s a small step in the right direction.’
She added: ‘I think society and gender is changing with it and I think if we can be including to anyone and not just binary genders its more inclusive.

Julie said: ‘I think we are in danger…they’re trying to stir up anger and resentment…a very small number of activists.’
Chloe said: ‘We’re fed up with a lot of the way we’re treated.’
Gok then asked Julia to take it away from the biscuit and look at the issues as Chloe said she understood it the confusion: ‘I’ve educated myself on this and other important topics. It’s ignorance.’
However Julia fought back saying she’s been covering the subject ‘for about 10 years’.
Viewers were divided as while they agreed it was important to talk about gender, they seemed to agree it was ‘just a biscuit’ in this case.
