INDIANTOWN — A woman jailed on DUI and drug charges got in more trouble after investigators report she spent “quite some time” extracting stuff from her rear end, records show.

Martin County Sheriff’s officials about 2 p.m. on July 9 encountered Leonna Hubbard, 38, during a traffic stop in Indiantown.

She was in a Chevrolet Trailblazer that deputies say traveled erratically.

A deputy reported smelling burned marijuana and spotting a vape pen. Hubbard’s eyes were glassy, her speech slurred, records show.

Hubbard said she’d been at a doctor’s office where she received “botox injections.” She said she was taking Xanax, used in treating anxiety and panic disorders, the painkiller Percocet, and Subutex, used in treating opioid addiction.

She agreed to take field sobriety exercises, saying she could perform the tasks. She noted she couldn’t put all her weight on her left leg and had a “boob job” weeks earlier but was OK.

After participating in the exercises, Hubbard was arrested on a DUI charge.

Deupties reported finding items including vape pens, hash oil, brass knuckles and a pocket knife.

At the jail, a corporal reported Hubbard tried to pull something from her rectum, the last section of the large intestine that ends at the anus.

“He stated she had been at it for quite some time,” an affidavit states.

Deputies fished out two plastic baggies from the toilet where Hubbard was sitting. Dissolved pills were in the toilet.

Hubbard said “nothing” was in the baggies.

“I pointed out that no one would attempt to hide ‘nothing’ and asked what was in them,” a report states. “She refused to tell me and stated they were empty bags.”

Empty bags typically are stored in pantries as opposed to rectums.

Hubbard, of Indiantown, was arrested on charges including driving while license suspended with knowledge, possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana, possession of hash oil, possession of drug paraphernalia, introduction of contraband and tampering with evidence.
