A hairdresser was scalped in a horrific freak accident after her hair got caught in machinery when she fell asleep on a ferris wheel.
Guyguy Salvador, 21, rode the fairground attraction with four friends after finishing work in Surigao del Sur in the Philippines on July 26.
It is understood that she was exhausted after a long day and had fallen asleep inside the gondola when her long black hair got sucked into the ride’s machinery.

Her hair became entangled in the main shaft of the ride while it continues to move round, ripping from her head.
Harrowing video – that Metro.co.uk has chosen not to publish – showed the woman being pulled from the ride, her bleeding scalp visible.
Witnesses said Guyguy was heard screaming when the wheel didn’t stop, before she passed out in agony.
She later said: ‘I’ve never had such pain. I was in agony. When I saw the blood and what had happened I fainted. It didn’t seem real.’
Guyguy was rushed to the Southern Philippines Medical Center where medics bandage up the wound.

She stayed in hospital for six weeks while doctors worked on a skin graft to recover the skin and replace it with skin with hair follicles.
Guyguy was finally released from hospital on September 17 and continues to recover at home.
She said: ‘I’ve thought about what happened so many times. I wish I could go back in time and change things. But it has happened.
‘The wound is still very sore but I am thankful that I am still alive. Many people have worse accidents.
‘I pray that my head will recover and I can be the same as before.’
