NASA’S Curiosity Rover has captured the first pictures of an alien-life form from Mars, according to wacky claims from conspiracy theorists.
The rover had conspiracists in meltdown last week after a “mystery glitch” caused by an unknown issue saw all its science operations halted.
Tyler Glockner – from YouTube channel Secureteam10 – believed it was very “suspicious”.
And footage has now surfaced which some claim shows an extra-terrestrial on the Red Planet.
The clip – posted by UFOmania – shows what appears to be a large rock.
When the camera zooms in, there seems to be a hole in one side with a shape inside and the YouTube user believes that shape is an alien.
“While I was searching the images sent by the Rover Curiosity on Mars, I came across this curious building or shelter with a Martian peering through a window,” the user wrote.
More than 10,000 people have seen the video since it was posted to YouTube yesterday.
“That does not look like a natural rock formation,” one wrote.
Another commented: “No doubt that is a martian.”
But others were far less convinced.
“Ever heard of a rock?” a third asked.
“You know, we have them here on Earth as well.”
And a fourth agreed, adding: “You must be on something, that’s clearly a rock.”
