A MUM has been convicted of letting men rape a three-year-old girl in return for drugs.

Celeste Chambers, 37, would “pimp the girl out” with her accomplice, ex-husband Kevin Wyatt, between 2003 and 2016.

The brave victim told the court in Tallahassee, Florida, how she was sexually assaulted by paedophiles “at least twice a week”.

She added that she was she wasn’t “supposed to talk about what happened” and Wyatt would reportedly hit her if she refused to perform sexual acts.

The girl’s gran also told the jury how the child was unable to sleep after being left traumatised because of the abuse she suffered.

Chambers was convicted of seven counts including child abuse, human trafficking and capital sexual battery.

She will be sentenced on Monday.

Wyatt admitted child abuse charges relating to the same girl in 2018.

According to the Tallahassee Democrat, Assistant State Attorney Anna Norris said the girl has “gone through a nightmare”.

She said: “This child has gone through a nightmare her entire life, and she was trafficked.

“It’s good to see that people are understanding that human trafficking is not what we see in the movies.”

She added: “I am glad this child was finally vindicated. What Chambers did to her was wrong and she was finally strong enough to come forward.

“It's a difficult accusation to make. Now [Chambers] can't hurt anyone.”

I could never be a cop with evidence of something like this and then arresting the suspect. Their arms would be broken putting on the cuffs and my sidearm may accidentally discharge into their legs, three or four times. I don't have the emotional control necessary to that job properly.
