DISTURBING: The boy (not pictured) acted out porn and video game scenes

A TWELVE-YEAR-OLD boy acted out a sex scene from Grand Theft Auto by raping his six-year-old sister, a court heard.

The boy raped his victim in the living room and bedroom of their family home while adults were in another room or asleep, it was said.

He raped his six-year-old sister on numerous occasions - including Christmas Day.

One incident began after the boy watched footage of a sexual act in a Grand Theft Auto video game with his victim, a court was told.

He then decided to recreate it with her while another younger sibling was still in the room.

His mum held his hand and looked close to tears as graphic details of the charges - three of rape and one of inciting the girl to engage in sexual activity - were read out at Swindon Youth Court.

The youngster, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was given a 12-month referral order and is currently living in an out-of-town therapeutic facility.

The boy, from Swindon, Wiltshire, who is now age 13, sat impassively for most of the hearing.

But he smiled and chuckled when the judge talked to him about football.

The boy told the judge he hopes to play the sport professionally one day.

The judge also asked what he would do if he had the opportunity to commit his crimes again.

The teen replied: "I would stop myself, I have learned that it's wrong."

Prosecutor Russell Pyne said: "The victim confided in a school friend about what her brother made her do, which he called special bundles and snuggles.

"Her friend told a teacher, who said that the girl had seemed withdrawn and quiet up until then but became a lot happier after telling her about it."

When interviewed by police, he initially denied the offences but later admitted his guilt.

Mr Pyne added: "He had been watching sex acts in porn and wanted to see what it was like for himself."

Gordon Hotson, defending, said: "This is a one-off opportunity to help sort this young man out, give the youth offending team the chance to work with him and ensure that this never happens again.

"He's been opening up to staff and working well with them. There is no contact between him and his siblings, though they've expressed wishes to see him."

His mum said: "We just want to make things right and do what's best for the safety of the children.

"He's doing really well and I want to make sure we can all be a family again at some point.

"My daughter used to be very sad about it all because she worried this was her fault, but she's come on leaps and bounds, she's a very strong girl and there's not an ounce of sadness in her now, I'm so proud of her."

He was added to the sex offenders register for two-and-a-half years.

Who lets a 12 year old play that game? :wha:

I've played a few versions of GTA. In one you pay a hooker and you see the car bouncing up and down from a distance. In GTA 5 (pictured above) you can pay for a lap dance in which nothing happens more than what's in the picture. Both interactions are consensual and non-sexy.

It's similar to the people who figure Call of Duty war games help children become better school shooters. If using the WSAD keys (to move) and using the left mouse button (to fire) is like using a real gun, then I must be a fully trained military sniper by now.

That kid jumped on his sister because he has a problem. If it wasn't GTA, it would have been a Disney cartoon as the influence...

So a game where you have hookers is appropriate for a 12 yo boy?

No

The GTA games offer a lot of acts that are worse than 'buying a hooker'. They have hundreds of scenarios where you commit crimes, bust heads in crack houses using bats and the entire overlying premise or game mechanic (if you want) is to steal any car that drives near you. Press a button and it starts a cutscene where your avatar opens the car door, throws the driver out of the car and jumps in.

It teaches children how to be goal orientated and responsible for your own actions.

 I'm a believer in age ratings for games ...but like the internet, just try to keep little Jimmy away from it when you're not around.

I don't buy their finger pointing at violent video games one bit.

Reminds me of this study from last month: No evidence to support link between violent video games and behaviour (https://www.york.ac.uk/news-and-events/news/2018/research/no-evidence-to-link-violence-and-video-games/)

Sure and that's been an ongoing issue for years. They couldn't hang shit on music makers so they turned to video games.

My brother is one who thinks video games cause kids to commit violent acts.

Again, I've played a good cross section of games. And while I admire a developer getting the look and sound of an M1 Garand correct, using a keyboard has never taught me what it feels like to hold one or how to shoot one.
