Beto O’Rourke has been slammed for his male privilege in a recent newspaper column that pointed out that no female politician could get away with O’Rourke’s style of exploring a presidential campaign bid.

The former Texas Rep. has been rumored to run for president in 2020 ever since his loss to Sen. Ted Cruz last year in a big-money Senate race, prompting him to go on a road trip across the country and stay in the public’s eye. He is also set to travel to Iowa this weekend in what appears to be a sign that his entry into the White House race is imminent.

But O’Rourke is already facing criticism over the way he tried to raise his profile across the country, which included less talk about policies and more about publishing odd diary entries, visiting college campuses and listening to Metallica.

“Imagine, they say, if Beto were Betsy,” Lisa Lerer, a reporter, wrote in The New York Times. “What would the reception have been if a female candidate left her three small children home and spent several weeks traveling the country, posting stream-of-consciousness diary entries? Or if she chose to forgo a Senate race that would provide a greater opportunity for victory?”

The paper noted that female Democrats are growing increasingly frustrated with O’Rourke’s unorthodox approach and says the fact that his profile increasing is a sign of double standard that women face.

O’Rourke particularly irked others after he ruled out a second Senate run last month, this time for Sen. John Cornyn's (R-Texas) seat, which given his prominence in the state he would have a good chance to win, as it was seen as a move serving purely his own interests.

“If a woman was presented with a similar choice: Do that less ambitious but better for the party thing, versus more ambitious but longer shot thing, I don’t see people being super understanding when she takes the latter,” Jess McIntosh, a Democratic strategist and former Hillary Clinton aide, told the Times.

Democrats aren’t the only ones attacking the likely 2020 candidate. A group that boosts GOP candidates across the country will air a two-minute commercial in Iowa that paints O’Rourke as the prime example of “white male privilege” and compares to former President Barack Obama, Politico reported.

“With a charmed life like his, you can never really lose,” the ad by Club for Growth states. “That’s why Beto’s running for president — because he can.”

He'll be out shortly. He's not Biden, and he's not black/woman/LGBQTWhatever.

The Democrat's best chance is Biden. Period. The core Dem's absolutely love him, and he's been in national politics since 1972. He knows the political game better than anyone, and that makes him dangerous. A lot of people that are looking at this election from an unbiased pov are saying that Trump wins if Biden doesn't run, but if Biden runs, he will slaughter Trump. Whether that's true or not, we'll just have to wait and see.

I would like to believe that's true, but I think the far left will eat him alive - old white male in the center-left whose racial issue history doesn't please the gods. Shapiro said the same thing today, btw.

"the gods" are actually a very small percentage of the Democrat Party. The same very small percentage that voted for Hillary. The rest stayed home on election day. If Biden wins the nomination, they will show up to vote in November. They won't give a shit about his past. Mark my words, if Biden runs and wins the nomination, he becomes the next President.

The primaries are a very different beast than the general. Biden will struggle in the primaries. Moderates on either side don't do all that well in primaries, or at least as well as they should, because it's those 'gods' that come out and vote in the primaries, not the mainstream voters. But if he does come out of those on top, he will definitely make it tough for Trump to get re-elected. He's not Hilary, they won't be fixing the primaries for Biden like they did for her in 2016.

Dems stayed home because of Hillary. Like I said, the Dems, the non-socialist regular Dems, they love Biden. They just might show up for the primaries to shut the far-left idiots out of the equation. It wouldn't surprise me.

And I'm saying this as a guy who hates Joe Biden. He's antigun, almost as bad as Feinstein. And he is a sneaky son of a bitch.

A new report from Reuters reveals more skeletons from former Congressman Beto O'Rourke's (D-TX) past, including disturbing writings from when he was a teenager.

In a profile that also documented O'Rourke's involvement in a hacker group, Reuters reported: "it’s unclear whether the United States is ready for a presidential contender who, as a teenager, stole long-distance phone service for his dial-up modem, wrote a murder fantasy in which the narrator drives over children on the street, and mused about a society without money."

In writings that Reuters says still exist online, O'Rourke reportedly fantasized about "toppling the government," but doubted that "the masses would support such a radical move at this time."

O'Rourke also reportedly wrote about murdering children by running them over with a car.

"One day, as I was driving home from work, I noticed two children crossing the street," O'Rourke wrote. "They were happy, happy to be free from their troubles ...This happiness was mine by right. I had earned it in my dreams."

"As I neared the young ones, I put all my weight on my right foot, keeping the accelerator pedal on the floor until I heard the crashing of the two children on the hood, and then the sharp cry of pain from one of the two," O'Rourke continued. "I was so fascinated for a moment, that when after I had stopped my vehicle, I just sat in a daze, sweet visions filling my head."

The disturbing writings are just the latest in a long line of stories about O'Rourke that center around his driving.

On the night of his 26th birthday, O'Rourke hit another vehicle while he was driving drunk. O'Rourke claimed that he only had two beers, which The Washington Post has disputed:

When O’Rourke blew into a breathalyzer, the results were a blood alcohol content of 0.136 and 0.134. The legal state limit in Texas at the time was 0.10; a year later, it was lowered to 0.08. With a blood alcohol level of between 0.130 and 0.159, a person experiences “gross motor impairment and lack of physical control. Blurred vision and major loss of balance. Euphoria is reducing and beginning dysphoria (a state of feeling unwell).” For a male of 190 pounds, O’Rourke’s weight as listed in the police report, that blood alcohol concentration is reached after six drinks.

A reporter who was near the scene of the accident had to physically stop O'Rourke from fleeing the scene, which is documented in a police report of the incident.

O'Rourke then repeatedly lied about the incident during his failed Senate run in Texas last year against Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) — regarding which The Post give him "Four Pinocchios" in its "fact check."

Also during his failed campaign last year, O'Rourke posted strange videos to his Twitter account in which he filmed himself talking to the camera while operating the vehicle he was driving.

An article from The American Council On Science And Health titled "Please, Beto O’Rourke, Drive Safely," slammed O'Rourke for his reckless driving.

I had a long winded post about derogatory terms for people of different backgrounds, but I thought to myself "who the hell wants to read this?" So I deleted it. Long story short: I grew up in an area that had a ton of racists all over the place, so I heard just about every derogatory name for people of different backgrounds that you could think of. Funny thing, no one ever attacked anyone else based on their religious beliefs. They just thought you were a piece of dog shit if you didn't go to church on Sunday.

Anyways, I'm Italian (50%), Irish (25%), and German (25%) on my mother's side of the family. Not quite sure what's on my father's side, but in all likelihood, we've got some Irish, English, and French going on in there somewhere. Maybe some other crap, we're not sure. My dad's side of the family never kept track. If we go by my mother's side alone, I'm a McWopKraut, with a little more of the Dago in me than anything else. Southerners used to call me a carpet bagger and a damn yankee, but since I've been here longer than I've lived anywhere else in my entire life, they've adopted me and just call me one of their own now.

I need a butt-shine

Right now

Your are holy,

Oh, sacred cow

I thirst for you,

Provide Milk

Buff my balls,

Love the Cow,

Good fortune for those that do.

Love me, breathe my feet,

The Cow has risen.

Wax my ass,

Scrub my balls

The Cow has risen,

Provide Milk.

Oh, Milky winder, sing for us once more

Live your life, everlusting joy.

Thrust your hooves up my analytic passage,

Enjoy my fruits

Provider of Cheese and other wonderful dairy products,

We will cleanse your inner intestines.

We will bathe in your Pungent Odor

Gather cotton.

Count my eyes,

Smell my skin,

Love the Scarecrow and the Milkman.

I live only for eternity,

Thirst for the undrinkable.

Hold the heat,

Praise the dough boy at the pizza shop.

Love the Oxen dung!

Naa, you're still a yankee. Now there are so many former northerners that have moved down there, it has become less "tribal".

I've noticed even the accents getting diluted over the decades.
