LYONS, N.Y. (WHEC) - A Wayne County woman is charged with arson after deputies say she tried to kill bed bugs with a lighter.
The fire started at an apartment on Canal View Drive in Lyons on Sunday.
Deputies say 39-year-old Jacquline Lynch used a lighter to kill a bed bug after her uncle sprayed the house with alcohol. Lynch caught a mattress on fire and activated the sprinkler system.
Several apartments were damaged but no one was hurt.
Lynch is due to appear in court at a later date to answer to the charge.
