August is usually worse for us in Denver, but July can be pretty bad. So far though, it hasn't been nearly as hot this summer as it has the last several years.

Our Calgary Stampede usually takes place from about the 5th to the 12th of July and the weather is typically really hot throughout. Since the midway is so large and all of the rides/attractions are on asphalt, some days down there can get real uncomfy to the point of people passing out.
Mix : Canadians, midway food, rides, extreme heat (for us) = barfarama city
That's usually what it's like when me and my buddy go to the Mile High Nationals (drag races) at Bandimere. It's in the foothills and there is NOWHERE to hide away from the sun. It's absolutely miserable...and we're usually there for a good 8 to 10 hours.
It looks like that storm is heading westward. Coastal Louisiana and Texas need to keep their eyes on it. If it takes on official storm status, it'll be called Barry.
And it's as hot as a Southern Baptist hell outside. 92°F but it feels like 110°. It's that damn humidity.
And now it's raining like cats and dogs, and that came out of nowhere. 5 minutes ago, it was bright and sunny.
110 and humid (for this area) zero wind, brutal sun. Pecos, tx
Yep, spent most of the afternoon working off the back of the service truck. I have GOT to get me one of those umbrellas like welders use. Just dont know where I'd store it on the truck. I'm getting too damned old for this. Couple more years and I'm gonna look for a different job... "Welcome to Walmart..get your shit and get the fuck out!" Think that'd work? Haha
97° (36C) yesterday and it didn't even cool off that much last night. It was still 78° (26C) when I got up at 3 this morning. Supposed to be more of the same today.
Sunny and mild, maybe a thunderstorm later.
Heard about that storm in Greece that killed seven people. Didn't sound like much rain, just a lot of wind and destruction.
