Utah County woman charged with raping her child

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) – A 48-year-old Utah mother is accused of repeatedly raping her own child, according to documents filed Monday in Utah's Fourth District Court.

Charging documents allege Angela Michelle Davidson raped the child "once every week" starting in March of this year.
She told the child she would harm their sibling if they told anyone about the abuse, charging documents state. The victim disclosed the abuse to their father, who called police to report it on Aug. 31.
In an interview with children's justice advocates, the victim stated that after the first incident in March they would attempt to hide from Davidson, "but she would grab [them] and say, 'you know what time it is.'"
Davidson is charged with five counts of rape of a child, a first-degree felony, and one count of tampering with a witness, a third-degree felony. She was booked into the county jail on a bond of $25,000.
