Kind of depressing when I was thinking about it this morning, but I've been at my current job going on my 21st year this year (20 years here as of this past January). How long have you been at your current job?

18, although I've had a couple "different" jobs to do this whole time
September will be 8 years. 7 at last job, 14 before that.
I got hired as a Y2K consultant in 99 and am still here
I got hired by the Dow Jones in MA to upgrade all their PC's, that had a ton of them, easiest shit ever and got paid bank. They offered me a job to be a DBA and would pay for training. I told them I wasn't interested in being a DBA, now I'm a DBA not getting paid close to what I would have been making there after 20 years
Remember how everyone thought the world was going to end because NOTHING was going to work anymore because of Y2K?
Planes were going to fall out of the skies! Banks were going to lose track of all deposits! Any home appliance with any kind of chip in it will stop working!
:onoz:
They were talking about how the water companies valves would just open up and flood the streets
For me, it depends on who you ask! My contract just moved over to a different firm in September, so technically just months in this firm, but for the contract I've been doing for over 11 years.
For each time my contracts moved, it was classified as continuous service. Including changing jobs from a computer support geek to an asset manager. So, for senority's sake, I have 26 years, 11 months in. And for pensionable service I have 26 years and 8.92 months(!)
4? maybe 5 years since I abandoned my career? I think It might be 5 years.
I've been working on a honey bee farm since October.
Rent and board here is 1/10th my rental income from Melbourne. So I'm basically paid to sit on my butt
26 years in a bank
4 years - own business
16 years - FiFo (IT)
the rest - retired!
