Me and the wife are trying to start doing more volunteer work with animal rescues this year. Last weekend we helped out at the fundraiser for the Saint Bernard rescue and this weekend we are going to pick up a Great Dane that's stuck in a shelter in Colorado Springs and we're going to be the fosters for him. Most of the rescue groups are strapped for money and volunteers and foster homes for all these poor dogs and we want to try and help out. So tomorrow morning we'll be making the 90 minute drive to Colorado Springs to pick him up from the shelter. If he's a good fit, we have the option of adopting him, but at the very least, we'll be the foster home for him until he finds a forever home, whether it's with us or with another family.
Don't forget to put your wagers in for this weekend's games.
Signs, signs
Everywhere there's signs
Fucking up the scenery
Breaking my mind
Do this, don't do that
Can't you read the sign?
Back from 6 days in Ontario for work... four full days of conference from breakfast until late night dinners (too much boozing), then a morning of meetings and flight home today. I'm bagged, was so nice to come home to my pup and wife. Hope you all had a great week.
10:30 am Saturday, and I'm already 8hrs into my work day. Yay
Ya eh? They're a lot, drains my social battery big time. The first couple times I traveled for work I thought it was so cool (and I guess it was, feeling your career is rising to the point where someone wants to pay the expense for you to be somewhere  ) but totally agree, now it's not romantic at all. I did recently get lounge access at the airport though, and so at least for the time being that's novel
Apparently, I'm just bored now. I installed a third hard drive in the monster rig and loaded Fedora on it.
I'm trying to install the Nvidia drivers for my GPU under Fedora. I don't know what the fuck just happened, but something did happen.
