It's too bad that artists like Simon get remembered for his later, more watered down pop hits where his guitar playing is more of a background thing. There's quite a few artists like him. Great players and their best work is generally forgotten or not as prevalent as their more recent stuff. And this above was 1968? Talk about unplugged...no retakes or pretend guitar playing over pre recorded track there :thumbsup:

There's an alternate network TV channel that plays a lot of old TV shows, and they were playing old Andy Williams' episodes. I was flipping through and they had just got started on that and I couldn't believe the clarity of the guitar playing. I have a Simon and Garfunkel box set and I always skip over Scarborough. I'm gonna have to sit down with my acoustic and take a good serious listen to it. From I could see, he's got a capo on 7.
