Infant Violently Murdered by Dad Had Body Parts Ripped From Torso

A recently-released arrest warrant provided more details about last month’s murder of an 11-month-old Connecticut girl, reportedly at her father’s hands.
Christopher Francisquini, 31, was arrested last Friday, two weeks after he allegedly stabbed, choked, and dismembered his daughter, Camilla, at their home in Naugatuck. According to WTIC, police said officers found the girl with multiple stab wounds and parts of her “body had been separated from the main torso area.”
Police reportedly also recovered 30 items from the crime scene — including a pair of Nikes and a baby’s sock which may have the victim’s blood on them.
On the morning of the murder, the baby’s mother came home and Francisquini said he wanted them to go shopping. She wanted to change clothes, but Francisquini told her “don’t touch the room” and that he would clean when they get back. He also prevented her from coming into the room, WTIC reported.
Later that day, the baby’s mother reportedly saw Francisquini texting a mental health facility. She subsequently told police that Francisquini was bipolar and was not taking his medication, according to WTIC.
Days before the murder, Francisquini allegedly told his daughter’s mother that he constantly heard voices, and those voices told him to kill his father, though he would never act on it.
After leaving their home and driving to Waterbury, the infant’s mother and Francisquini reportedly got into an argument while outside of a PetSmart. Francisquini allegedly smashed both of their phones, leading the girlfriend to go inside and call family to pick her up. WTIC reported that Francisquini presumably left the PetSmart in the car they came in, as they were both gone when the girlfriend returned outside.
The baby’s mother reportedly discovered her daughter’s body upon returning home. The family called 911.
The mother told police that she did not recall seeing blood on Francisquini during the drive to Waterbury. A short time later, the car Francisquini fled in was found abandoned in New Haven — and it contained the knife possibly used in the murder, according to WTIC.
Per the news outlet, a passing driver took Francisquini to a gas station after he claimed he ran out of gas. Before heading to New Haven, four witnesses told cops that Francisquini allegedly changed clothes at an apartment in Waterbury. They said they had not seen him in years and he was asking for someone who was not there at the time. He reportedly asked them if they wanted to buy the car he was driving and if he could have clothes.
When the woman Francisquini was looking for returned home, she learned he was looking for her. However, she had known of a news report about the slaying. The witnesses subsequently provided cops with the black sweatshirt Francisquini came to the home in, the arrest warrant detailed.
Two weeks later, Francisquini was apprehended in Waterbury after someone spotted him at a bus stop and called the police. At the time, the FBI was offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
Held on a $5 million bond, Francisquini is charged with murder with special circumstances and risk of injury to a child. He is due in court on December 21.
At the time of the slaying, Francisquini was on parole for a 2012 assault for which he served 10 years. Following his release from prison last year, he was arrested in November 2021 for a carjacking at a West Haven hospital.
A day after his carjacking arrest, he allegedly attacked corrections officers while trying to escape from custody.
According to reports, Francisquini was free on bonds totaling $375,000 and under GPS monitoring when he killed his infant daughter. He was released from jail in July.
