Does anybody use one? Can y'all recommend one?
Nevermind.
I built one a little while back, with some n95 specifications and it was expensive, because I needed to have a sterile flow of air  I've had the natur air ones in the past, currently I also have a negative ion generator that only generates negatives, since apparently an abundance of positive ions around you isnt good for you. A lot of what ion generators will do is magnetize dust particles so that they fall out of the air.
funny, but its good enough for myc... and it takes all the smoke out of the air at the garage. thats really all it effectively is inside of hvac....just more efficient. that way is physical instead of electromagnetic.
I saw a super science nerd on Youtube reviewing these fancy ones that claim to vaporize ions or whatever, but when this youtuber ran his part-per-million tool in enclosed rooms for a few hours, a lot of the super fancy ones did nothing, or in some cases just spun up dust without filtering it, and made it worse
I just have a cheap-ish Levoit one. They get good reviews. I'm not sure it helps a noticeable amount in the summer when my allergies are bad, but man is the filter ever gross, so it's doing something.
Found it. This is entertaining actually:

That's funny, I bought the Levoit right before the second post in the thread. I didn't see the video you posted, I watched some other douchy-looking guy do a rundown of them at different price points and just picked one. Flipping coins during youtube videos for the win!!!
