Everyone is a victim of racism. There is no boogeyman..
I agree there is no such thing as "reverse racism", it's just plain ole racism no matter which direction it's coming from.
When they say "only white people can be racists", yeah that's racism.
I have suffered the effects of racism (discrimination) simply because of the color of my skin. Simply because I am white I get tried and convicted of crimes I have never committed. The think tank can spin it any way they want. Everyone is guilty of racism at one point or another, in one form or another. It's human nature to divide and conquer. Look at sports teams rivalries, churches, schools, etc..
Racism: prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism by an individual, community, or institution against a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized.
Since the bold part is optional, yes you have suffered racism. I think it's ok though to at least have a civil discussion about the many different contexts of racism, without one form cancelling out another?
I get what you're saying, but is sweeping it all under the carpet a solution? I'm not saying it isn't, I'm just not convinced that it is
True.
I've also observed a "give 'em an inch and they'll take a mile" problem in the US that seems to drown out any legitimate discussion.
