Murder suspect allegedly told police he had killed 'Terminator'

PORTLAND (WGME) -- A Poland man accused of murdering his brother made his first court appearance Monday.
Thirty-four-year-old Justin Butterfield only said a few words during the hearing.
Authorities arrested him after they found the body of 38-year-old Gabriel Damour at a Poland home on Thanksgiving.
In court documents, police reported that they found a screwdriver, hypodermic needles, a baseball bat, tire iron and other objects sticking out of the body.

Butterfield allegedly told police he had been fighting for 24 hours with “the Terminator” before slaying him.
Police say he allegedly mutilated the body and left body parts on the front porch of his home.
Butterfield has not entered a plea yet.
In court, his lawyer said Butterfield understands what he's charged with but not why.
They also say Butterfield wants bail.
A hearing for that isn't scheduled yet.
Both sides want a competency evaluation, and the judge wants that done within 30 days.
