That looks fun. I've just got a Ruger 10-22 but it's solid, cheap to shoot all day. The Butler Creek mags make it even more fun.
I was going to use a portion of the stimulus check for charity (more to Team Rubicon), and possible a 9mm.
I decided that I work with enough people that could use a boost that charity should start at home.
Coworker 1: New baby, boyfriend has an alcohol problem. She doesn't have waterproof shoes and we have to walk between housing units. A couple hundred at JCP will help her. Done.
Coworker 2: Got screwed by her ex into transferring her student loans to her ex father in law. Barely makes bills. She needed as therapist. Got her in to see my therapist. Gave her the $100 for the first 4 insurance co-pays. Done.
Coworker 3: Having her first baby. Registry items to help mom. Done.
Coworker 4: Having her first baby. Waiting on her registry....
I feel good about it. It wasn't my money to begin with, I'm still working, and this little bit helps them a lot. I will probably still send some to the organization that runs the group home for my disabled niece.
I really love my 10-22 takedown with the backpacker stock. It stays pretty accurate and is so compact and portable.
